YS PRECISION STAMPING USA located in GEORGETOWN, KY, is a lead manufacturer of metal component for brakes looking for a mechanically inclined, dependable, ambitious and dedicated individual to join our Die Maintenance and Repair Team on the Day Shift. This is a full time positions for candidates with knowledge of die maintenance. ,

PLEASE READ: This position is not a Tool and Die Maker position which would require a higher level of skill.

This position is ideal for technicians with experience in surface grinding and disassembly and assembly of tooling. Should be able to perform tool repair and troubleshoot issues with the die inserts to move the dimension of the product within acceptable range.

Job Requirements:

• Requires the ability to use micrometer, calipers and other measurement tools associated with machining.
• Applicants must have experience with maintenance and repair of metal stamping dies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• The ability to work with close tolerances and be familiar with the metric system.
• Must meet the needs and demands of daily work schedule
• Able to operate an overhead crane.
• Ability to use basic hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
• Must operate machines in a safe and responsible manner
• Ability to set up and operate standard machine shop equipment
• Some welding experience a plus
• Proven track of good attendance is required

Essential duties and responsibilities :

• Maintenance and repair of dies.
• Perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot die related issues and resolving quality and dimensional issues.
• Perform die changeovers
• Verify dimensional and alignment issues using measurement instruments to hold close tolerances
• Enter data to communicate issues and progress of die repair

Compensation :

Starting pay rate of $24 an up depending on experience.
