YUM! Brands, Inc. is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Louisville, KY

You would play a working role in month end processing for lease accounting and would be accountable for all lease accounting, reconciliations, and month end review. This role ensures correct accounting related to all leases and lease related activities and would works with the Brand Reporting teams (KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Habit Burger, and YUM). The Lease Accounting Analyst reports to the Lease Accounting Supervisor.
Salary Range: $­­61,400 to $63,000 annually bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely reconciliations and analysis for lease related accounts and ensure general ledger balance sheet accounts are current and compliant with SOX.
  • Percent Rent payments and accrual accounting.
  • Quarterly reporting and Balance Sheet Flux analysis.
  • Provide initial set up, amortization and reconciliation of Deferred Rent and ASC 842 accounts for all brands.
  • Prepare period-end and quarterly accounting and analysis of various rent related expense accounts.
  • Franchise to Franchise Transfers & Refranchise deals.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other finance related area
  • 2 years’ experience in lease accounting or property accounting preferred. General accounting experience is acceptable.
  • Exceptional systems and software aptitude (JD Edwards, Reports Now, and Oracle helpful).
  • Proven analytical skills and intermediate to advanced Excel skills are necessary.
  • Effective communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects concurrently.
