The mission of the new Studio x Yumiko Manager is to develop and lead a specialized team to sell a variety of luxury apparel and lifestyle products while delivering a world-class, top-tier customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team responsible for flawlessly delivering on sales, service, and people management to exceed daily business goals.

THE ROLE

As the Studio x Yumiko Manager, your role will be:

• To lead and manage the team in selling specialty imported apparel and other luxury goods, delivering world-class experiences, and building loyal client and partner relationships, resulting in significant sales optimization. 
• To build sales through the development of new clientele or initiatives to drive business into the store and to add value to the customer experience. 
• To curate marketable collections from a diverse array of luxury, partnering brands.
• To create and continuously develop positive relationships with all partner brands. 
• To develop and implement all buying strategies, tailoring the inventory for the Studio x Yumiko market while seeking opportunities to maximize sales. 
• To ensure the business has sufficient stock levels in place to maximize sales potential. 
• To seamlessly own or escalate the invisible details across People, Clients, Product, Space, Operations & Compliance that enable an exceptional customer experience.
• To manage the day-to-day performance of the retail team in support of the business objectives, enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Studio x Yumiko Manager will possess:

• 3 years experience in a high-end retail environment in leadership/management roles.
• A deep understanding and knowledge of industry trends and fashion culture.
• A great sense of personal style and aesthetic.
• The drive and confidence to initiate objectives independently.
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills with an eye for detail. 
• Proficiency in Google Suite, and knowledge of contemporary POS software (such as Square, Shopify or similar.)
• Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines; proven ability to multitask.
• A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Yumiko’s core mission values. 
• Experience and/or interest in dance or fitness is a plus!

THE COMPENSATION

The expected hiring range for this position is $65k-$80k but will ultimately depend on the individual candidate’s experience and talents.
