Position Summary

The Online Fulfillment Assistant Manager, II will assist in the management of online fulfillment operations in the most cost-effective manner within quality standards. Ensure inventory and deliverables operate at levels which meet company requirements and customers' needs. Direct activities so that approved deliverables are completed on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Be physically present in the office 5-days a week and on all company blackout dates.
  • Responsible for providing training to fulfillment staff on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances, and the like; ensuring fulfillment team comply with company policies and administering practices in fair and equitable manner. 
  • Oversee the shipping of incoming and outgoing company product inventory and supplies. This includes replenishing product inventory for all retail locations. 
  • Manage and delegate daily operations to drive exceptional results, including executing standard operating procedures, identifying areas of improvement, implementing solutions, and providing ongoing training where needed 
  • Measure key performance indicators to drive performance metrics, manage inputs that deliver results, and convey performance results for regular business reviews. 
  • Document and share daily status report with direct Manager 
  • Manage, Process, and document all customer returns 
  • Liaison with all departments regarding all Fulfillment department functions and client experiences. 
  • Responsible for conducting and documenting all scheduled and ad hoc product and supply inventory counts 
  • Responsible for documenting all inventory shrinkage and loss and communicating to Management in a timely manner 
  • Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production; ensuring fixed assets are preserved; initiating recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements for fulfillment department 
  • Responsible for the safety of our fulfillment center along with the transportation of inventory to and from the fulfillment center 
  • Responsible for coverage in the absence of the FC Manager 
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and be on your feet for a shift, up to 10 hours at a time 
  • Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. In office work required
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in fulfillment/warehousing operations (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required 
  • 3 years of prior experience in online order fulfilment, eCommerce, and/or warehousing required 
  • 2 year of prior experience with eCommerce Backoffice systems required 
  • Intermediate math skills 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must have excellent organizational, time management, decision making, and multi-tasking skills 
  • Must have a sense of accountability 
  • Ability work efficiently under pressure 
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays 

PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS 

  • Up to 2 years experience managing a team of 5 employees
  • Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
