Description

As a Substitute Strength Room Instructor you will perform functions that will provide the very highest quality of experience and customer service for participants. You will also ensure health and safety standards to maintain and ultimately increase class participation. Excellent personal and customer relation skills are required. As a substitute you will fill in for shifts as needed.

Hours: Per Diem

Responsibilities:

• Greet each member entering the room, and create an atmosphere to ensure that all members feel welcome and comfortable.
• Enforce the policies and rules of the room.
• Direct and educate members through individual orientations to the equipment including seat settings, correct form and proper use.
• Conduct continuous tours of room, checking for safe and proper use of equipment and providing assistance to members whenever it is needed or requested.
• Assist members with equipment.
• Implement incentive programs for all members (i.e.: Bring a Friend).
• Clean equipment and surfaces, and report repairs needed.
• Answer telephone
• Update CPR Certification bi-yearly.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fitness field with basic knowledge of cardiovascular and strength training
• Demonstrated skills in providing quality customer service
• Ability to relate to people of diverse attitudes and interests
• Willingness to train

CPR certification must be attained during first 6 months of employment
