YWCA Greater Harrisburg is Hiring a Crisis Advocate On-Call Near Harrisburg, PA
The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a part-time professional to serve as On-Call Crisis Advocate to provide intervention and support services to individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence. In this role, the On-Call Advocate provides hotline counseling and crisis intervention, safety planning, shelter intake and support, legal and medical accompaniments, emergency protection order assistance, advocacy, and information and referrals. Position Details:
Position is a hybrid position working from home but with a mandatory ability to respond to the YWCA, hospital, or police department within 30 minutes of receiving a request for in-person services
Covers the overnight shift on Tuesday and Friday from 12:00 a.m. – 8 a.m. with the possibility of signing up for additional on-call shifts
Applicants must be able to respond to requests for services up to 8:00 a.m. including in-person services. Applicants must also be able to attend a mandatory 2-week in-person training program Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4 p.m
Compensation: $50 stipend per on-call shift ($75 for holidays), plus the hourly rate of $20/hr. for actual time worked.

General knowledge of community resources, legal system, and law enforcement
Effective computer skills and ability to learn new case management software programs
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human services, criminal justice or related field, or Associate’s Degree with 2 years of relevant work history
Previous experience in providing advocacy, social work, human services, or other supportive services
Must have a reliable vehicle for travel within Dauphin and Perry Counties with valid driver’s license
