The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is hiring an Employment Specialist to help those with mental illness and other barriers find competitive employment and educational opportunities. The ideal candidate should know Supported Employment practices, area employers, social service resources, job development, community outreach, and wrap-around services.
The candidate should also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a minimum of 2 years of proven success in human services, social work, or employment readiness. While a four-year degree is preferred, equivalent field experience will also be considered.
The candidate must satisfy Act 33, State Police and FBI clearances, and possess a valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
