Description

YWCA Dayton, a 24 hours organization dedicated to the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women, seeks an energetic, dedicated person to be an integral part of our team. Are you passionate about financial leadership and being part of a mission-centric organization? The YWCA Dayton is searching for a dynamic individual to join our mission-driven team as our next Comptroller. The Comptroller is an Exempt level position working 40 plus hours weekly with some evenings and weekend activities.
As the lead architect behind our accounting and finance function, you will play a key role in our organization's success. 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Financial Oversight: Manage financial and accounting systems, policies, and operations, overseeing the Chart of Accounts.Supervision and Leadership: Provide supervision for the accounting team and act as the Finance Department Executive.Data Management: Ensure accurate financial reporting by overseeing the collection and input of data for financial statements; provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers, evaluating, analyzing, and reporting relevant data points.Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits, making operational adjustments based on audit results.Internal Controls: Develop, disseminate, and monitor internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and prevent errors and fraud.Compliance Management: Monitor and maintain compliance with legal, financial, and tax regulations.

This position is in house only Monday – Friday (occasional evening and weekends may be required) and not remote at this time. YWCA Dayton operates 24/7 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, standard operation hours are 7:30am – 5:30pm. Applicants must be local with easily accessible transportation. All employment is decided on the basis of competencies, qualifications, merit and business need.

Requirements

EDUCATION & 

EXPERIENCE

· Must have a minimum of 5 years Finance Accounting, Finance, Business or Grant related non-profit experience, CPA or Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional Certification (SNAP) preferred; supervisor, 2 years management and leadership experience; a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field; or 7 years Finance and Accounting experience in lieu of degree.
