Job Purpose: Work with the existing processes to sustain and continuously improve them during the higher production seasons. This opportunity is ideal for someone who likes to be hands-on with the IT hardware and shop floor-level controls to make processes and equipment operate at their highest level.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the existing processes:Ensure uptime of shop floor equipment, including computers, monitors, RFID readers, analytical equipment interfaces, barcode readers, PLCs, VFDs, associated safety switches and E-stops, sensors, etc.
Working with the Product Team to eliminate errors and reruns.
Partner to continuously improve the processes and eliminate waste, utilizing Lean Manufacturing practices.
Work with Software/LIMS Eng to troubleshoot control software.
Deploy the latest version of software on all shop computers.
Maintain an inventory of hardware and software.
Support onsite and remote computers of employees.
Work with Maintenance and Process Engineering to deploy any new interfaces that are needed for process improvements or new processes.
Work with the Quality Team to help make data-driven decisions on where to put resources. Recommending where we can make the biggest improvements to our investment.

Supporting the Development Teams:

Regularly attend joint meetings to share information about production performance.
Using the performance data, help identify where the Development Teams should look to help with improvement.
Ensure that the processes and equipment that the Development Teams are ready to deploy are ready for production. Write specifications for equipment and processes for both internal and external suppliers.
Work with Process Eng to develop run-off criteria for new equipment and processes for internal and external Suppliers.
Work with Suppliers on specifics for equipment and parts.

Qualifications:

2 years of experience with computer hardware support required.
2 years of instrumentation troubleshooting experience required. PLC programming experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
Technical degree in IT or Computer hardware support preferred.
Ability to operate independently and with demanding schedules.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, across the team
Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Windows, OSX, and Python would be a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
