Zachary Piper Solutions is Hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist (EHS) Near Raleigh, NC

Job Details

Piper Life Sciences is actively looking for a Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist to join a chemical plant in Raleigh, North Carolina. The EHS Specialist will contribute to multiple upcoming Process Hazard Analysis projects and ensure compliance to federal, state, and corporate EHS requirements. This opportunity is full time, with Monday - Friday, traditional first shift hours.
Responsibilities of the EHS Specialist:
  • Manage and set direction for safety process, and process safety management (PSM) systems
  • Design and execute chemical management safety programs
  • Serve as SME for safety and environmental requirements
  • Direct corrective actions and continued improvements when safety concerns arise
  • Support project executions and compliance through risk assessments (PHA, LOPA, FMEA, HazOP)
  • Ensure alignment with internal and external teams regarding EHS procedures
Qualifications of the EHS Specialist:
  • B.S./M.S. in an Engineering, Scientific or a related discipline
  • 1 - 3 years of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience and chemical safety in a manufacturing/industrial environment with a PSM requirement
  • Knowledge and ability to perform risk assessments
  • Strong foundation and knowledge of OSHA regulations
Compensation of the EHS Specialist:
  • Salary: $75,000 - $85,000, based on relevant industry experience
  • Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays
