Piper Companies is seeking a VP of Software Engineering in the North Carolina area for a SaaS company. The VP of Software Engineering will oversee a department of over 60 and will have 5 direct reports. A successful candidate for the VP of Software Engineering will possess a strong background in vision and strategy but close to technology and being hands on to further understand the current state.
Responsibilities for the VP of Software Engineering include:
Lead multiple co-located teams developing and implementing innovative software and cloud solutions
Execute overall strategy and manage complex issues
Contribute to architectural design and make overall architecture decisions and product roadmaps
Research new technology and solution alternatives to find the best solutions based on the needs and problems
Requirements for the VP of Software Engineering include:
Over 8 years of leadership experience leading successful software engineering teams in multiple locations
Strong background working within a JavaScript based tech stack with AWS
Knowledge of best practices for cloud application and infrastructure development
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or relevant works experience
Compensation of the VP of Software Engineering: $190,000 - $245,000 base, 25% bonus and equity
