JOB TITLE: Construction Equipment Coordinator

LOCATION: Orange, TX – CP Chem USGC II - ISBL

Zachry Group has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Equipment Coordinator to join our team on our new construction CP Chem USGC II – ISBL located in Orange, Texas. The Construction Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for timely delivery of tools and equipment to assigned project or projects. The Construction Equipment Coordinator will work closely with buyers, field equipment superintendents, project controls, and construction site management team to ensure the timely delivery of the equipment and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but is not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Efficiently manage the timely delivery of tools and equipment from various areas utilizing suspense record systems. Collaborates with buyers, field equipment superintendents, controls, and construction site management team to coordinate requests and dissemination of tools and equipment.
• Maintains suspense record systems dealing with the status of tools and equipment, or data, some or all of which may be confidential in nature. Retrieves daily verbal and written updates on the forecast of necessary tools and equipment. Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems, evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement an appropriate course of action.
• Provides advisory services for area of specialty; may interface with other contractor or agencies for normal performance of the job.
• Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
• Attention to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner. Demonstrates strong decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Exhibits a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and enhances productivity in the workplace.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associates Degree or work experience equivalent
• 2-4 years of exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build and foster customer relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel.
• Basic Knowledge of construction equipment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-5 years construction field experience
• 1-2 years of equipment related coordination experience
• Understanding and implementation of service contracts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Construction Equipment Coordinator will work in multiple environments, including office, warehouse, and in a trailer or building on construction sites. They must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less. Job site will contain: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms.
