The Cook II/Expeditor is required to organize and set up expo line and condiment station ensuring all condiments are fresh and at the correct temperature at all times.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure sanitation standards are met at all times, including the use of gloves.
  • Ensure the expo printer is on and working properly.
  • Meet with the chef on duty to discuss daily specials and changes; ensure servers are informed of any updates.
  • Inspect all orders before they leave the kitchen; garnish food as needed.
  • Place food orders on trays ready for delivery to customers and maintain a clean line.
  • Advise the chef on duty of any issues and communicate with servers and culinary staff.
  • Maintain control of the expo line at all times, including monitoring food temperature, ensuring proper portion sizes, and meeting ticket time standards.
  • Prepare all food items according to standard recipes or as specified on guest checks to ensure consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures related to food and beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and setting up food production and ensuring quality control for all meat, fish, poultry, sauces, stocks, seasonings, and other food items prepared at various kitchen stations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Cook II/Expeditor Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent qualificationA minimum of 2 to 3 year experience in a similar roleIn-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
Excellent communication and organizational skillsFood Handlers Certification requiredExcellent communication and organizational skillsAptitude for multi-taskingMust be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
