Zanes Law Injury Lawyers is a successful 20-year-old non-corporate personal injury law firm founded in and serving Arizona. We are seeking a skilled “Second in Command” - a Director of Operations to join our team and drive operational excellence across our successful firm.

Position Overview: As the Director of Operations and the “Second in Command” you will oversee the efficient functioning of five departments spread across two cities in Southern Arizona. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ out of our beautiful new 9,000 sq ft office that we are moving to in August 2024. You will work directly with the owners and department heads in a non-corporate, collaborative environment. We use set systems for business alignment, decision making and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to various operations teams, ensuring alignment with the firm's goals and values.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple departments and offices, including human resources, identify staffing needs of 5 departments, professional and non-professionals, IT, including our CRM, Case Management Systems, and facilities.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to achieve monthly and annual KPIs. 
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to support the firm's growth objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement for our support staff and professional team members. 
  • Act as a liaison between departments and leadership, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Qualities Of Our Ideal Candidate: 
  • Will possess excellent leadership skills and be able to guide various departments towards achieving their goals.
  • Be an excellent problem solver and be able to identify issues, analyzing root causes and bring solutions to improve operations.
  • Must be able to think strategically in alignment with the overall goals of the firm. 
  • Confident decision maker and be able to demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Adaptable and resilient and able to navigate challenges within a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellentand mindful communications skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. Master’s Degree, MBA or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 10 -15 years of experience overseeing the operations in a professional non-corporate environment as a Director or COO. 
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing operations in a $15 to $20 Million dollar company.
