About Your RoleThis is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include overseeing, coordinating, performing, and managing the operational and commissioning activities for self construction projects as well as client projects.
Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities
- Commissioning Activities
- Scope and budget commissioning activities for oil and gas facilities and heavy industrial manufacturing facilities.
- Work with project management, engineering, and construction personnel to schedule and plan end of construction activities related to startup and commissioning predecessors, testing and commissioning activities, purging plans, lock out tag out plans, and operational startup and support.
- Develop and manage a budget for a department for commissioning and operational support.
- Operational Support
- Provide operational support and oversight to project teams during the engineering and design phase with a focus on optimizing designs from an operational perspective.
- Travel to client sites, work with client operations to troubleshoot issues and provide operational support to design team for determining most cost effective solution for client issues.
- Develop programs for offering of operator training and perform operator training.
- Review and input to operating procedures.
- Planning and execution of tie in plans, turn around plans, lock out plans and performance testing plans.
- Engineering Support
- Involvement in internal and external design reviews, model reviews and process safety reviews.
- Site visits during construction to do plans for commissioning activities and provide feedback to engineering design team for future optimization of designs.
- Site visits for brownfield facilities to identify tie points, construction/outage sequencing, lock out/tag out, and purging plans.
- Lead major P&ID as-built projects on site managing teams of engineers and designers.
- Business Development
- Work with Business Development team to assist in marketing and create business opportunities in operations support and commissioning.
- Build client relationships
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
