Network SME
On-site, Rancho Cucamonga CA US
Job responsibilities
• Implement and maintain all of the company's Cisco platforms, including Catalyst, Nexus,
ISR, ASR, ASA, and Wireless Controllers with Aironet Access Points, as well as Palo Alto
Firewalls and T1, Layer 2, MPLS WAN circuits.
• Provide ongoing technical support for remote area networks, Internet, and VPN
communications.
• Troubleshoot network usage, perimeter security, and all network appliances.
• Develop and implement policies and standards to adhere to security procedures.
• Provide level 3 support for client-level IT issues that result in production downtime.
• Collaborate with vendors, clients, carriers, and technical staff on network
implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
• Assist in the design, installation, and management of network security solutions.
• Perform backups on network systems appliances, both internal and external backbone
devices.
• Build and maintain networks, ensuring both external and internal web presence, and
administer the networks.
• Document network infrastructure and design.
• Research, order, configure, and manage WAN circuits.
• Assist with space planning related to network infrastructure needs.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the company's network operations and
work outside regular support hours for projects and change requests.
Essential Skills
• In depth understanding of large enterprise networking best practices and operations.
• Hands on experience with Cisco Platforms, including Catalysis, Nexus, ISR, ASR, ASA and
Wireless Controller with AirOnet Access Point, Palo Alto Firewalls and T1, Layer 2, MPLS
WAN circuits.
• In depth understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack and operation.
• Excellent hands-on skills in deploying and troubleshooting complex networks.
• Willingness to help customers, peers and other team members at any time.
Education, Experience, & Certification
• Minimum 8 years of Network Design and Administration hands on experience with Palo
Alto Networks, Cisco routers, switches and security solution and Cisco recommended best
practices.
• Bachelor Degree with a major in computer related field or similar technical field.
• Technical relevant certifications on advanced networking ( CCNP, CCIE or equivalent is a
plus )
