Job Description

  • The Senior Human Resources Associate is a key member of the HR team, responsible for supporting various HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance. This role requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Essential Role Functions

  • Provide support to your assigned facilities in all areas of Human Resources
  • Assist Human Resources Director in administering procedures and policies through the sites.
  • Support multiple locations
  • Support front-line HR operations to employees, communication, on-boarding/off-boarding, leave management & workers' compensation, HR data management, employee relations.
  • Provide training support to all levels of associates.
  • Partner with recruiting to source and select internal and external candidates.
  • Ensure Open Door, diversity and other values related issues are resolved effectively.
  • Conduct new hire orientations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures partnering with Employee Relations and legal.
  • Provide coaching, facilitate discussions, and makes recommendations for non-exempt associates’ and Supervisors’ development needs.
  • Work alongside the HR leadership to conduct interventions, fact-findings and resolves conflicts as they arise.
  • Support contractor agency relations alongside front line supervisor and internal HR Director.
  • Deliver, monitor, coach and guides technical and nontechnical training for site Supervisors and non-exempt associates.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely remittance of payroll taxes and other withholdings.
  • Administer the approval of time by managers and functional timekeepers, as well as reporting and enforcement processes to ensure compliance.
  • Administer all non-benefit deductions, including garnishment interpretation and disbursement.
  • Traveling required.

Work Experience/Requirements for This Role

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within food manufacturing/production, or start-up environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Payroll administration
  • Knowledge of recruitment strategies and techniques, employment agency methods and operations, developed skill in interviewing techniques.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws with proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and tact.
  • Solid verbal and nonverbal communications skills, good interpersonal skills, coaching and counseling skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems
  • Bilingual Preferred - (English/Spanish) 

Schedule

  • Days: Monday to Friday (flexibility when needed on weekends)
  • Hours: 8am to 5pm (Flexibility on hours)
  • Work Location: Multiple Locations (Vintage Food, GCF)
