Summary:

The Night Manager - Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing all night operations related to shipping and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. This role involves managing the shipping team, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversee the night shift shipping team, including night workers and supervisors.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and manage scheduling to cover all necessary operations.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to night shift employees.

Shipping Operations:

• Manage and coordinate all night shipping activities, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of products.
• Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, verifying counts and condition of shipments.
• Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize shipping processes and schedules.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate records and timely replenishment of stock.
• Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.

Communication and Coordination:

• Liaise with production, quality control, and other departments to ensure smooth night operations.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with day shift managers and other relevant personnel.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours as needed.
