• The pay rate for this position is $19 per hour

The role of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is more than a job it is a career that makes a positive impact every day in the lives of people with Developmental and.or intellectual disabilities. As a DSP you are directly responsible for the people supported and their overall safety and well-being, helping them achieve a rich and full life.

Requirements:

• GED or High School Diploma Required
• Valid NJ or out of state Driver’s License
• Registered and Insured Vehicle
• Prior experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities
• CPR & First Aide Certification

Responsibilities:

• Provide support in the home and community including activities that encourage independence, community engagement, and group recreation trips or outings.
• Provide support and training for each person based on their wants, needs, and goals.
• Drive clients to appointments and use safe driving best practices.
• Have scheduling flexibility; may be required to work with adjustments to the normal shift
• Assist with activities of daily living, including self-care, to the extent needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Language:

• American Sign Language (Preferred)
• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Required)
• Driver's License (Required)
• First Aid Certification (Required)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
