Zelis is Hiring a Senior Strategic Program Manager Near Texas, TX

Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly strategic and proactive Senior Strategic Program Manager to lead key initiatives that align with our organization's long-term objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects or programs, with an emphasis on strategic planning and execution. This role requires a leader who can help craft innovative strategies and drive their successful implementation to enhance our competitive edge and achieve substantial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define program scopes, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Establish and manage program timelines, milestones, and budgets to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Identify, assess, and minimize risks throughout the program lifecycle, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Measure program performance using appropriate tools and techniques to track progress, identify necessary changes, and deliver operational excellence.
  • Foster stakeholder relationships by providing regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring ongoing engagement with the program's strategic direction.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts, leveraging feedback and analytics to refine program strategies and processes.
  • Mentor and develop project and program managers within the team, enhancing their capabilities in strategic program management.
  • Minimal travel; 10%.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project or program management, with at least 1 year in a strategic role or managing strategy-focused programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage large, complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a proven track record of successfully implementing strategic programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project/program management software and tools.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification is highly desirable.
