Maple Leaf South, a Zeman Homes mobile home community located in Belleville, MI, is looking for a full-time Groundskeeper / Maintenance Technician. This position performs routine and preventative maintenance and landscape work to maintain the physical integrity of Zeman Homes communities.

Essential Job Description

• Inspects and completes routine maintenance and minor repairs to facilities, streets, and vehicles.
• Ensures that common area lawns are manicured appropriately. Regularly performs lawn care services and services needed to maintain flower/shrub beds.
• Ensures the community is presentable and inviting, and that it adheres to Zeman’s Community Appearance standards.
• Cleans and maintains community buildings and maintenance garage. Maintains vacant sites.
• Rehabs and maintains used and leased homes.
• Performs various plumbing tasks. Performs water testing and other maintenance duties related to a well-water system.
• Removes snow from community streets, parking lots, building entrances.

Requirements

• Previous grounds and maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, electrical and grounds maintenance.
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment.
• Ability to walk, climb, stand, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Prior snow removal experience preferred.
• Availability to respond to community needs during non-business hours.
• Excellent customer service skills.
