Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to the lives of children in special education.

SPED Paraprofessionals will support licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social / behavioral needs.

Paraprofessionals should expect supporting students with concurrent health, sensory, physical, and / or behavioral disabilities.

Key Duties :

  • Assisting licensed staff in the classroom and in the community
  • Work with individuals and / or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
  • Provide support for students in crisis
  • Provide personal care for students under supervision
  • Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as needed
  • Celebrate the students you’re working with - big and small victories!

Minimum Requirements :

  • Highschool diploma / GED
  • Experience working with children

Preferred Requirements :

  • 60 credits, Associates Degree, or obtained a passing score on an appropriate ADE assessment
  • Behavioral Technician or PCA experience
  • Crisis prevention (CPI) training
  • CPR certification

Additional Requirements :

  • Additional requirements include US Work Authorization. Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
  • Applicants must have proficiency in English

Pay :

$21 - $24 per hour

Schedule :

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
