Job Description

Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to the lives of children in special education.

Our charter school is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to fill the role of Special Education Teacher in a high school setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

This role comes with a competitive daily rate between $180 - $200 per day, paid weekly.With this role, there is no requirement to work weekends, and will be on a flexible schedule within a Monday to Friday week, within hours of 7 : 30 - 3 : 00 / 4 : 30 pm.

This is a full-time commitment for the 2024-25 school year.

Responsibilities :

• Provide special education support for 20-35 students in a high school setting
• Manage a caseload of IEPs, communicating goals and accommodations to educators, families, and students
• Maintain data tracking for individual progress toward IEP goals
• Update and implement IEP documentation, including annual meetings
• Problem solve and communicate to advocate for student needs

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education in the state of Colorado
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans
• Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
• Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
• US Work Authorization as Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Crisis prevention (CPI) training
• CPR certification
• Previous special education teaching experience
