Position Summary:

We are a dynamic mobile construction equipment company seeking an Aftermarket Product Support Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by handling service calls, managing parts inquiries, and conducting meticulous final quality inspections on cranes. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Additional Information:
  • Position Type: Exempt, salaried plus aftermarket parts sales commissions
  • Location: Onsite in Sparks, NV facility (relocation allowance available)
  • Travel: Up to 15% of the time within the contiguous 48 United States as needed.

Responsibilities

Service Calls and Parts Inquiries:

  • Field incoming service calls promptly and professionally.
  • Address customer inquiries related to parts availability, pricing, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.

Final Inspections:

  • Conduct thorough final quality inspections on equipment before delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, performance specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Document inspection results accurately and communicate any discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.

Part Sales and Warranties:

  • Manage part sales, including order processing, inventory tracking, and shipping logistics.
  • Handle warranty claims, coordinating with suppliers and customers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of warranty transactions and follow established procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated skills and experience in the following areas:

Proven Experience with Large Mobile Equipment:

  • Demonstrated expertise in handling large mobile equipment, particularly cranes or similar industrial machinery.
  • Familiarity with crane systems, components, and operational intricacies.

Hydraulic and Electrical Troubleshooting:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical systems. (CanBus knowledge a plus)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Mechanical Proficiency and Attention to Detail:

  • Keen eye for detail and precision.
  • Ability to assess mechanical components and identify potential areas for improvement.

Customer Interaction and Order Management:

  • Prior experience working directly with industrial customers.
  • Ability to manage custom orders and provide timely order updates.

Knowledge of Parts and Components:

  • Familiarity with crane parts and their functions -- Load Charts, LMI Systems.
  • Previous experience in the crane or mobile equipment industry is preferred.

Organizational Skills and Multitasking:

  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proactive Problem-Solving and Warranty Administration:

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Understanding of warranty interpretation and administration.

Willingness to Travel:

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% within the 48 contiguous United States as needed for customer visits and field support.

Proficiency in Computer Applications:

  • Comfortable using relevant computer applications, MS Office Suite, CRM, related to the role.

  • Strong desire to learn and grow within the crane industry.
  • Curiosity about customer needs, production processes, and industry trends.
