The Role

We're seeking a Product-Focused Data Analyst to join our team at ZenBusiness. If you're passionate about delving into the intricacies of SaaS products, this role is tailor-made for you. As our ideal candidate, you possess a deep understanding of product analytics and excel at extracting insights that drive product enhancements. Your expertise in dissecting product data from diverse sources will play a pivotal role in shaping our product roadmap and optimizing user experiences. Beyond your product prowess, we value your ability to collaborate across teams, mentor colleagues, and champion transformative initiatives within our data-driven culture.

This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Engineering and is a remote role.

Responsibilities

Cross-functional Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and customer success to align data analysis efforts with overall business objectives. Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure a cohesive approach to product development and optimization. Forge alliances with product leadership and product development teams.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of product-related data to derive actionable insights. Generate reports on product usage, customer behavior, and performance metrics to enhance decision-making processes.

Data Visualization: 

  • Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights and trends to stakeholders. Use tools like Tableau and Snowflake to present data in an easily understandable and actionable format.

Product Roadmap Support: 

  • Provide data-driven insights to support the development of the product roadmap. Collaborate with product managers to prioritize features, define success metrics, and set achievable goals aligned with business objectives.

Feature Evaluation: 

  • Evaluate the performance of existing product features through data analysis. Identify areas for improvement and opportunities for feature enhancements based on user feedback, usage patterns, and market trends.

User Segmentation: 

  • Segment users based on various criteria such as demographics, behavior, and usage patterns. Utilize segmentation insights to personalize product experiences, optimize user journeys, and drive user engagement and retention.

A/B Testing and Experimentation: 

  • Partner with product teams to design and execute A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of changes to the product. Analyze test results to understand user behavior, preferences, and the effectiveness of product modifications.

Product Performance Monitoring: 

  • Monitor key product metrics to detect anomalies, trends, and performance issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any identified issues promptly and ensure optimal product performance.

Continuous Learning and Development: 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data analysis and product management. Proactively seek opportunities for learning and skill development to enhance job performance and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; holding a Master’s degree is a bonus.
  • A well-rounded background with 10 years in data analysis, including substantial experience in a role centered around sales analysis.
  • Proven knowledge of product operations, usage analysis, sentiment analysis, and sales effectiveness analysis.
  • In-depth experience working with SQL preferably with Snowflake. Nice to have experience using dbt.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and building Tableau & Mixpanel dashboards or similar experience with other BI tools.
  • Experience in Data Observability and anomaly detection with tools like Monte Carlo and Metaplane.
