JOB SUMMARY:

The Area Visual Manager role will collaborate with agency owners to optimize the in-store experience. This person will oversee, in a visual operations and merchandising capacity, a group of agencies in a geographical area. The AVM will be a hands-on resource to solve merchandising issues, document pain points, ensure that all newness is on the floor, and adjust product and displays per agency to establish and maintain an improved shopping experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Relationship Building

• Build trust and a strong working relationship with agency owners and associates through face-to-face visits and a hands-on approach
• Maintain a positive attitude and be a positive source of information
• Partner with agency owner/manager to determine pain points and needs
• Positively reflect the integrity/professionalism of our group; representing the strategic work to be done

Communication and Education

• Serve as a regular point of contact and resource to agencies, documenting interactions and cascading information to appropriate parties.
• Clarify communication sent to agencies regarding product and processes
• Gather information during agency visits and communicate back to appropriate partners
• Provide product knowledge and help associates build confidence in hand-selling

Merchandising

• Document full agency floor plan and layout, including backroom spaces and square footage
• Pick, pack, and prepare store-to-store transfers within the area to help get the right product to the right stores
• Assist in stocking shelves, replenishing the sales floor, making adjustments, and determining product needs
• Monitor merchandise flow and ensure that ALL new product is on the floor and highlighted as directed
• Help to set up and maintain backroom organization
• Create and/or execute visual displays within the store based on the seasonal calendar
• Make recommendations for storytelling and displays
• Assist with resets, store openings, and remodels in the area
• Partner with the retail strategy director and agency owner/manager to implement and maintain all visual merchandising strategies and standards

Marketing

• Assist with implementing in-store marketing programs and ensure that all items are signed correctly
• Maintain any branding items and ensure they are displayed and/or being utilized properly.
• Recommend additional branding elements and placement

Fundamental

• Daily/Weekly travel between stores access to a reliable vehicle
• Average: 30 hours - 35 hours/week

KEY SKILLS:

• Experience in merchandising in a retail setting
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to consistently document details regarding interactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
• Basic computer proficiency, comfortable learning new programs/applications
• Knowledge of current trends in Food/Bev, Home & Fashion preferred
• Basic understanding of sales goals
