Job DescriptionJob SummaryAs a Project Manager at Zeus, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects touching nearly every department of the Organization. A Zeus Project Manager is expected to own their projects from inception to completion and provide excellent service to our internal and external stakeholders. PMs are primarily responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing to the project schedule and alerting management to risks, slippages, and cost overruns. Consistent and thorough status reporting and excellent communications skills are expected. IT PMs at Zeus are expected to bring an intermediate level of technical knowledge to the job as we work with SaaS applications, database upgrades, IT hardware upgrades etc.
IT PM’s offer immediate and complete feedback to PMO while ensuring proper communication between interdependent teams in the company. These professionals are essential because they create and manage short and long-term plan, including setting milestones, schedules and adhering to deadlines. Responsible for planning, organizing, and motivating traditional and Agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users. Responsible for managing several concurrent projects using traditional and Agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions. This position focuses on ensuring strategic solution programs are delivered on time, within scope, budget and with quality.
Job ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the relationships and impacts of programs and initiatives across business units.
  • Apply specialized knowledge of industry standards/practices to portfolio, programs and initiatives.
  • Creating long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  • Perform Agile project management duties in support of the solution visions and scope defined by Business Analysts
  • Proven ability to prioritize and drive solution-centric efforts across a geographically distributed Agile teams of business and technology professionals.
  • Delegating tasks on the project to team members best positioned to complete the tasks.
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options on how to progress with projects.
  • Serve as point of contact for teams when multiple, cross-functional business units are involved to ensure all team members are well informed and remain in synergy.
  • Drive strategic alignment across business units to succeed against company-wide goals.
  • Communicating / reporting to IT Leadership Team to keep projects aligned with overall IT Strategy and Goals
  • Have a direct and positive impact on a wide number of people and teams; be accountable for the work of other managers.
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout its entire lifecycle to maintain expected standards.
  • Assist IT leadership in identifying security concerns relating to new Business Analysis initiatives and keep security at the forefront when evaluating new solutions.
  • Adjust schedules and targets according to need to maintain financial budgets. Include financial reporting as part of the regular project status cadence.
  • Comply with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5 years in Program / Project Management or related business experience
  • PMP, Agile and/or Scrum Master Certification highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of leaders, subject matter experts, end users and developers.
Desirable QualificationsMBA or advanced degree in Information Technology
  • PMP Certified (preferred)
  • Experience working in multiple ERPs including Oracle, SAP, or other comparable systems.
  • Knowledge of plastics industry
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team, listening effectively to others.
  • Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects, with good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft O365 suite including advanced collaboration tools like Project, Teams, Planner, To Do or other comparable applications.
  • Well versed in development, deployment and management of Kanban boards
  • Experience using Kanban software tools such as Jira or Kanbanize
  • Ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
