Job Title: Quality Control Engineer- Paint Lab Specialist
About the Company:
A leading EV Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is seeking a Quality Control Paint Lab Specialist for its innovative facility dedicated to mass-producing electric vehicles with cutting-edge production technology.
Position Summary:
The Quality Control Paint Lab Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing paint quality in alignment with internal and external customer requirements. This position requires a deep understanding of the automotive paint process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming raw material properties and perform online appearance checks.
- Investigate and analyze defective products, developing effective countermeasures.
- Establish short-term/long-term countermeasures for smooth production.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production on quality improvements during current production and new project development.
- Enhance supplier quality levels through Supplier Process Audit (SPA) and periodic product, tool, and system reviews.
- Participate/lead BIP audit and Color Harmony sharing inspection results with stakeholders for improvement plans.
- Manage assigned products to meet internal/external customer requirements.
- Improve efficiency of quality control management system through learning and applying new technology, knowledge, and equipment.
- Ensure adequacy of relevant procedures and systems according to specifications and applicable legal requirements.
Qualifications & Preferences:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license.
- Required Competencies: Concern for Quality, Prompt Judgement and Action, Complex Problem Solving, Monitoring & Feedback.
- Preferred: Chemical Engineering major or advanced degree in a related field.
Travel Requirement:
- Domestic/International travel required.
