Zivahh is Hiring an Optometrist Near Auburn, AL

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional eye care services to our patients, conducting comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses or other appropriate treatments. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and eye health.
  • Diagnose and treat eye conditions and diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other vision aids as needed to correct vision problems.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries such as LASIK or cataract surgery.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including the importance of regular eye exams and maintaining overall eye health.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists, opticians, and primary care physicians, to coordinate patient care and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patient encounters.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Current state license to practice optometry.
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification by the American Board of Optometry (ABO) or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and diseases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting overall eye health and wellness.
Experience
  • Previous experience working as an Optometrist in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply, and mentorship opportunities may be available for those seeking additional support.
