East Coast Services Coordinator
Job Summary: The Community Services Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, agencies, and resources to support the residents and staff of ZOE’s Program. This role focuses on connecting youth with external services and opportunities that promote their well-being and successful transition into the community.
Reports to: Eastern USA Regional Director- Brad Ortenzi
Hours: Full time (40 hrs weekly)
Responsibilities
East Coast Services
  • Oversees the development and execution of services
    • Attend Task Force Meetings
    • Build and Expand Advocacy Programs to both Lancaster and Berks Counties
    • Provide advocacy services as needed
    • Provide outreach to CSEC Youth in County shelters
    • Develop programs to serve vulnerable and CSEC youth
    • Network with community partners
    • Participate in community partner and roundtable meetings as needed
    • Develop and conduct trainings as needed
  • Collaborates with Leadership to develop a comprehensive plan for wrap-around services 
  • Research East Coast best practices to provide trauma-informed care and services to survivors of human trafficking
Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) Research: 
  • As part of the job responsibilities, you'll be tasked with researching the requirements of the STRTP facility by fostering connections with community organizations, agencies, and resources. 
  • Your primary objective will be to enhance support for both residents and staff within the STRTP. This role emphasizes linking residents with external services and opportunities aimed at fostering their well-being and facilitating a smooth transition into the community.
Community Resource Development:
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with community organizations, service providers, and agencies that offer resources beneficial to the youth.
  • Research and assess available community resources, including educational, vocational, recreational, and social support programs, to address the diverse needs of the youth.
Collaboration and Networking:
  • Collaborate with internal program staff to assess the needs of residents and develop individualized service plans that incorporate community resources and supports.
  • Attend community meetings, networking events, and professional gatherings to promote awareness of ZOE and establish partnerships with community stakeholders.
Referral and Coordination:
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and external service providers to facilitate access to community resources and services.
  • Coordinate referrals and transitions for residents to external agencies and programs, ensuring continuity of care and support throughout their time with ZOE and during their transition into the community.
Education and Advocacy:
  • Provide education and training to residents, families, and staff on available community resources, eligibility criteria, and how to access services.
  • Advocate for the needs and interests of residents within the community, raising awareness of issues related to youth in care and promoting collaboration among service providers.
Data Management and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of community contacts, referrals, and outcomes to track the utilization and effectiveness of community resources.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing the impact of community services on resident outcomes and program goals.
Crisis Intervention and Support:
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to residents and families facing challenges related to housing, employment, education, mental health, substance abuse, or other issues.
  • Mobilize community resources and supports to address immediate needs and stabilize crisis situations effectively.

  • Great multi-tasking skills
  • Previous experience in community outreach, resource development, or case management, preferably in the child welfare or social services field.
  • Knowledge of local community resources, services, and systems relevant to children, youth, and families.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and organizations.
  • Empathy, cultural competence, and a commitment to advocating for the needs and rights of vulnerable populations.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex systems.
Education / Experience:
  • Master's degree preferred 
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in program development and execution
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Good physical health to perform duties, including standing and walking for long periods of time, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Criminal record clearance
  • Willingness to sign and adhere to ZOE International’s Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy, and other policies and procedures
