Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable individual for the role of Sr. Program Manager, Strategic Operations Petcare. This position reports to the Head of Petcare Strategic Operations and will support the existing Member Group team across all Member Group activities.

Primary responsibilities include utilizing large account management skills, relationship building, solution selling, project and territory management, and business planning capabilities to execute our strategies to maximize sales performance.

This role will also support the Head of Petcare Strategic Operations with Member Group operational activities such as forecasting, reporting, building agendas and facilitating team meetings. The ideal candidate will have an enterprise view to foster collaboration and best practice sharing across all member groups. This position relies on an individual capable of operating in a highly matrixed internal and external environment with demonstrated skills in managing corporate accounts with complex operating structures.

This is a field based/remote position. Travel comprising of up to 60% and some evening and weekend work for educational programs is a requirement of the position. The position is salary Annual bonus based.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Performance

  • Maximize ZTS revenues against strategic contracts and agreements
  • Assist the Member Group team in achieving aggregate sales objectives both overall and for key growth products (via demand generation within aligned corporate customers)
  • Successfully implement and execute joint partnership programs to exceed contractual goals in conjunction with the Independent Petcare sales teams
  • Successfully launch new products and service offerings

Selling Skills, Technical Knowledge, and Customer Value Delivery

  • Demonstrate high levels of collaboration, communication with the Independent Petcare sales teams
  • Demonstrate the ability to move seamlessly between technical product expertise and business development discussions; this includes consistently demonstrate Solution Selling skills.
  • Build effective relationships with multiple partner/customer teams to ensure/maintain relevance and access within each account
  • Interact with customers following all Zoetis contract guidelines

Business Planning, Resource Allocation and Optimization

  • Utilize our Customer Relationship Management system to identify and work against account growth opportunities
  • Lead from the front with innovative programs to drive revenue and share
  • Provide direction for the Independent Petcare sales teams
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews and routinely adjust the strategies, tactics, and investments based on changing needs to maximize account performance
  • Demonstrate excellent project management and financial/analytical skills
  • Ensure accurate revenue forecasts for the Member Group channel

Operations

  • Work across the Member Group team with an enterprise vision, to enable knowledge sharing across accounts
  • Facilitate agendas and slides for team meetings
  • Prepare Member Group reporting

Required Experience and Skills

  • Successful demonstration of strategic account management skills
  • Success in previous sales roles including creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, speaking/presentation, interpersonal)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment, align with and influence internal and external stakeholders, and build / manage relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments
  • Uses analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution
  • Follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets
  • Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) preferred
  • 3 -5 years of Zoetis experience preferred
  • 7-10 years of sales experience, at least 3 years managing strategic or national/major accounts
  • Track record of successful professional performance - in sales and/or strategic account management
  • Animal health experience and knowledge of companion animal veterinary medicine preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work some weekends as required by the position
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce.com, Tableau

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (Colorao), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base pay range: $123,000 - $200,000

This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
