We are looking for self-motivated, experienced professionals to join our team. Currently, we are seeking a Training & Development Instructional Designer in the corporate office in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong background in instructional design principles. The instructional designer will be responsible for developing innovative and engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of our diverse learners.

Training & Development Instructional Designer — Ann Arbor, Michigan

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessments to determine learning objectives and audience characteristics.
  • Design instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, and multimedia presentations.
  • Develop assessments and evaluation strategies to measure learning outcomes and effectiveness of instructional materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and alignment with learning objectives.
  • Utilize instructional design software and authoring tools to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in instructional design, e-learning technology, and adult learning theory.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainers and facilitators in delivering effective instruction.
  • Trains staff on ABAS system (ERP) and Concur (expense & travel management system)
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications on Intranet to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional design, education, or related field.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Experience in engineering and/or manufacturing tool industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with instructional design software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong project management skills.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS365) is a plus.
  • Outstanding relationship building and employee coaching skills.
