Job description 

Job Title: Operations Manger 

Location: Artesia, NM

Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is at the core of our operations, as we strive to be the leading provider in the industrial supply sector. 

Position Overview: 

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Operations Manager for our branch in Artesia, New Mexico. This role focuses on managing the day-to-day operations of the branch. 

Responsibilities: 

  •  Handle the preparation and processing of sales orders, quotes, and purchase orders using Epicor Prophet 21. 
  • Collaborate effectively with the external sales team to develop and maintain customer relationships. 
  • Scheduling Field Service Crews 
  • Scheduling Shop Repairs and New Pump Builds 
  • Managing incoming quote activity and assigning to inside sales team
  • Managing Inventory 
  • Oversee and coordinate orders with extended lead times, ensuring effective communication with suppliers, our external sales team, and clients. 
  • Collaborate with management to address issues related to pricing, product specifications warranties, and modifications in service offerings. 
  • Maintain robust relationships with clients and vendors, both in person and via telephone. 
  • Monitor the progress of order fulfillment, providing updates and addressing any potential issues or modifications. 
  • Apply knowledge of competitors and dynamics in the market during competitive bidding scenarios. 

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8 years in operations, maintenance and/or applications, specifically in the pump field.
  • Hands on pump experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervision experience 
  • Solid understanding of pumps, motors, and controls; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new product lines. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; proficiency in creating and delivering presentations. 
  • Strong customer service orientation; experience in handling customer inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. 
  •  Proven ability to work collaboratively with an outside sales team; willingness to provide support and insights to enhance team performance. 
  •  Familiarity with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant computer applications. Epicor P21 preferred. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
