SummaryAs a Tower Technician III in Lincoln, Nebraska, you will be responsible for conducting tower installations and maintenance on various communication structures. This includes troubleshooting alarms, RSSI issues, performing electrical and mechanical tilts, and handling necessary documentation. Responsibilities
Install radios, antennas, and associated RF equipment
Troubleshoot alarms and RSSI issues using sweep gear
Perform electrical and mechanical tilts to antennas
Handle jumper connections using connector training
Complete equipment and supply paperwork
Conduct safety, defect, and quality audits on communication structures
Adhere to daily instructions and shift reports
Apply job skills and company policies to complete tasks efficiently
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of relevant experience
Valid state-issued driver's license
Certified Tower Climber (via Gravitec Systems, Inc. or ComTrain)
Physical Demands
Climbing and descending tower and rooftop structures
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel as required
Recommended Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Mounting, aligning, cabling, and testing antennas, radios, and related equipment
Expertise in tower installations, tower demolition, painting, and grounding
Proficient in climbing and rigging techniques, with knowledge of standard knots
Trained in controlled descent, aerial lifts, and working platform procedures
Familiarity with UMTS, 4G, microwave equipment, basic electricity, grounding, and power safety
Termination of cables, fixing connectors, and antenna systems
Installation of coaxial cable on various structures
Strong troubleshooting abilities in equipment, coax, and fiber
Experience in fiber testing, PIM, and sweep testing
Ability to collaborate, mentor lower-level technicians, and communicate effectively
Familiarity with PIM gear, TMO, Verizon, RTWP experience, and breakfix experience
CPR, First Aid certification, Rescue certification, Anritsu, and/or OSHA certification are advantageous
Other Details
Reimbursement of $30 per pay period/$780 annually for business use of personal cell phones
