Zwita Tunisian Foods is Hiring a Kitchen Worker Near Houston, TX

We are two brothers who own and run a small Tunisian foods manufacturing business. We produce sauces and condiments in jars and pouches based on our ancestral family recipes. Our award winning products are sold online nationwide and in retail stores such as H-E-B and Target! We are growing and looking for talent to joing our team

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Worker to join our team. As a Kitchen Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food manufacturing line. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food, warehousing and manufacturing and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with food preparation, including weighing ingredients, washing ingredients

- Operate production equipment such as jar filling machine, labeling machine, case sealer

- Clean and sanitize work areas, floors, tables, utensils, and equipment

- Participate in kitchen clean up at end of production

- Receive and store food supplies and ingredients

- Palletize cases of products

- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow

Skills:

- Cleanliness, hygiene, speed and efficiency are of the greatest importance in this role

- Takes initiative in ensuring a clean and organized production space.

- Ability to follow instructions accurately

- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed up to 30 lbs

- Basic knowledge of food handling practices
