ZymeFlow is Hiring a Vice President of Sales - Americas Near Houston, TX

Job Description
Job Objective
Directs and coordinates activities of ZymeFlow business opportunities to increase revenues and profits through penetrating all levels of refineries and petrochemicals. Maintains current accounts and cultivates new opportunities for the sale of ZymeFlow products and services. Seeks out other oil and gas opportunities to promote ZymeFlow services. Dedicated to the coaching of the domestic sales team.
Job Responsibilities
  • Works within a team environment for continual process improvement. This includes sharing ideas to improve sales, sharing leads internally, and taking an active role in developing marketing strategy and sales improvement initiatives.
  • Advises on local, national, and domestic legislation affecting sales.
  • Establishes and maintains proficiency at presenting technical presentations.
  • Oversee the activities of the sales team and coaches to maximum potential.
  • Great strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills.
  • Delivers presentations and supports trade shows as directed.
  • Communicates openly, honestly, and constructively.
  • Treats all employees and customers with dignity, respect, and courtesy.
  • Maintains a positive work environment.
  • Utilizes internal and external networking to foster a team atmosphere while performing duties and continually improving company performance.
  • Establishes a positive working relationship with all levels within the corporation.
  • Represents the company in a proficient and professional manner.
  • Communicates with executive management to determine domestic sales objectives and develop domestic sales polices to achieve organizational goals.
  • Leads in the execution of corporate strategy in both a positional and peer capacity. Positively contributes to the establishment and supports the execution of company change initiatives. Champions initiatives with a strong understanding of the underlying goal and positive communications. Contributes positively to the establishment of company improvements. Other duties as assigned.
Strategic Sales:
  • Establishes and maintains a strong understanding of how ZymeFlow chemicals and services support refinery processes.
  • Understands and employs sales techniques and sales models.
  • Manages the domestic sales teams and maintains sales operations.
  • Collaborates with sales leadership to establish and refine sales strategy and set goals.
  • Uses knowledge of upcoming customer events to design a sales and marketing plan for assigned area. Directs the implementation and execution of sales plans and ensures communications are coordinated within the organization.
  • Preferentially targets key customers to maintain revenue while fostering relationships.
  • Establishes contact, nurtures, and maintains good personal relationships with clients.
  • Contacts and meets with high customers, such as Contract Managers of major companies.
  • Participates in the establishment of job scopes.
  • Writes proposals and closes the sale.
  • Achieves annual domestic sales targets based on measurable goals and motivates the sales team to achieve their goals.
Customer Support:
  • Gathers and communicates customer feedback to ensure customer concerns are addressed.
  • Recommends new solutions and services by evaluating current customer solutions and identifying needs to be filled. Monitor projects during execution for potential problems. Maintain proactive communications with customers during project execution.
  • Addresses challenging customer issues and manages customer expectations.
  • Develops and implements operations goals and objectives aimed at improving customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness (both operationally and project specific).
  • Addresses and negotiates problematic project change of scope orders with guidance from internal resources including operations, finance, and contract management.
Sales Reporting:
  • Projects quarterly sales.
  • Monitors the market position of competing products and services and evaluates their marketing and sales techniques.
  • Tracks and reports goal completion and variances quarterly.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of refining/industrial sales experience including a deep knowledge and understanding of refinery processes and equipment.
  • Ten (10) or more years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of refinery turnaround planning, execution, and scheduling.
  • Experience selling industrial services and developing customer relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, customer service and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed including travel out of town up to 80% of the time.
Education
  • BS/BA in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or Environmental Management required; Chemical Engineer preferred
