Process Engineer

A leading organisation within the pharmaceutical sector is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in wash and sterilisation processes, specifically focusing on utensil/part washers and autoclaves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed technical requirements and tender specifications for process equipment.
• Lead the technical aspects of vendor engagement, including contract management and supplier selection.
• Supervise vendors throughout project delivery, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Take part in risk assessments, design reviews, and the commissioning process (FAT, SAT).
• Oversee qualification and testing activities for equipment.
• Serve as the technical point of contact between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and operations.
• Lead technical workstreams and provide subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Demonstrable experience in wash and sterilisation processes within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
• Proven experience specifying, selecting, and qualifying utensil/part washers and autoclaves.
• Ability to operate as a technical lead across multi-disciplinary teams and projects.
