COWI A/S Kgs. Lyngby, Full Time

Do you want to shape a sustainable future through major, innovative projects? Join COWI as a Finance Project Partner—drive performance, optimize results, and support our Business Line Denmark with your financial expertise.

Join Our Dynamic Finance Team at COWI!
At COWI, we are deeply involved in innovative and sustainable projects. If there’s something new and exciting happening, there’s a good chance we’re involved. We are currently seeking a Finance Project Partner to join our dedicated finance team in Business Line Denmark.

As a Finance Project Partner, you will be engaged in large, complex, and intriguing projects from the outset. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business and business development teams while being a key member of the larger COWI finance organization. You will be an integral part of our finance organization, comprising approximately 250 employees who ensure the financial backbone of COWI. The role will report to Team Lead and Project Finance Partner, Thomas Munk Nielsen and the work location will be Lyngby.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Serve as the business's trusted advisor in financial matters related to projects.
  • Participate in and lead financial projects both locally and globally.
  • Create analyses, reports, and presentation materials for stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact between project management and finance, supporting project managers.
  • Thrive in our monthly reporting cycle, monitoring project performance while creating your own agenda. Focus on optimizing project results to enhance performance.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to thrive in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will:

  • A university degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in finance from an international company
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Ability to balance financial responsibilities with stakeholder management.
  • An analytical mindset with a commitment to explore challenges in project finance.
  • Outgoing personality with effective relationship-building skills—coffee talks with stakeholders are highly encouraged.
  • Proficiency in Excel

We value differences and development and cultivate an environment of belonging and having fun. Because that is what brings out the best in you, at work and at home.

With offices primarily located in the Nordic region, the UK, North America and India, we are currently more than 8,000 people who bring their knowledge in engineering, architecture, energy and environment into play.

Got more questions?
If you have any unanswered questions about the role or what we have to offer, please reach out to Senior Global Talent Acquisition Specialist Mette Gutte at MTGT@COWI.COM or Team Lead Finance Project Partner, Thomas Munk Nielsen at THNE@COWI.COM

Before you apply
All you need to include in your application is your CV – no photo or application letter. At an interview, you can tell us everything we need to know about why you’re interested in joining COWI. As for the photo, we prefer to form our first impression in person rather than from a picture.

Diversity is fundamental to COWI, inclusion is key.
We are committed to creating a respectful and fair work environment where all employees have a sense of belonging and equitable opportunities to thrive and grow. We ensure that our leaders are role models for inclusive leadership by cultivating a culture where diverse perspectives and thoughts are seen as valuable contributions. And we take diversity and inclusion into account in all relevant decisions and processes and when setting teams and fora. We do it because it is part of our values and because it is simply the right thing to do.
