Business Development Manager, London

POSTED ON 4/23/2025 AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/30/2025
emagine Consulting A/S København SV, Contractor

We are looking for a Business Development Manager for our UK Regional team who will have responsibility for developing relationships within new logos and some existing accounts. Your focus will be on building relationships with both IT and Business decision makers in order to provide solutions and deploy project teams.

We look for people who apply logic to their thinking, are natural self-starters, and see things through from start to finish. People who learn from every mistake are welcomed.

What you will be doing:

  • Business development and account penetration will be your focus. As a Business Development Manager at emagine, you’ll act as a strategic partner to Financial Services MD and C-level executives, forging new relationships and providing solutions to our clients.

“emagine is an equal opportunity employer, and employment practices are based strictly on merit. It is the policy of the Company to give equal opportunity in employment regardless of sex, sexual orientation, marital status, race, age, disability, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, religion or ethnic origin”

Are up to the challenge?
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will already have the legal right to live and work in the UK.

• We promote a fun, fast-paced and collaborative culture.

• We offer flexible remote working solutions.

• We don’t micromanage or set irrelevant KPI’s.

• You’ll have access to the latest tools and tech to enable you to achieve your objectives.

• We offer excellent salary rates, bonuses, and an uncapped commission structure.

• You’ll be working within an established global brand with a start-up mentality.

• We encourage fast growth and career development through our practice-specific training sessions and knowledge sharing.

• We only employ the top 10% of the market and seek out talented professionals.

Why work for emagine?

• Growth within a diverse and global environment; opportunities to open new territories such as the US or Asia.

• Recognition programmes and sales incentives such as company trips away

• To work in an established brand with a startup mentality

• To have your voice heard, influence and lead the future of the organisation

• Management opportunities if of interest

• A clearly defined career path with mapped progression and continuous training

• Excellent salary, competitive commission structure and an exceptional benefits package

What you will get in return:

• Intelligent, empathetic and naturally curious — especially when it comes to new industries, products or market dynamics.

• Open to feedback, committed to best practices and always looking to develop personally and professionally.

• Resilient and adaptable — able to thrive through both challenging and successful periods in your sales career.

• Experienced in developing long-term relationships, with examples of account growth and client retention.

• Comfortable with forecasting, budgeting and interpreting sales data to support decision-making.

• Proven experience in cross-selling products or services across different accounts or stakeholder groups.

• Skilled in qualification — you know how to spot red flags, green flags and assess opportunity potential across the sales cycle.

• A creative, solutions-oriented thinker — someone who comes with answers, not problems, and is confident thinking outside the box.

• Self-sufficient and proactive — confident in identifying opportunities, justifying your business development ideas and taking initiative without needing close oversight.

• Experience developing business development strategies that are client specific, industry aligned or driven by market trends, with the ability to explain your rationale.

• A strong track record of winning new clients, with clear examples of how you’ve done it — whether through outreach, referrals, campaigns or strategic plans.

• 5 years’ experience in recruitment or consultancy sales, ideally within Financial Services, Insurance or Commodities.

Experience required:

• Your mission: Win new business, expand key accounts and deliver long-term, value-driven relationships for emagine.

• Full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting through to close, will be yours — with the autonomy to lead and drive sales, and exceed your quota.

• You’ll take a self-sufficient approach to business development, leveraging research, market trends and platforms like HubSpot to identify opportunities and drive engagement.

• In this sales role, you’ll identify and qualify opportunities across cold, new and existing accounts, using your understanding of industry trends, client needs and market themes to tailor your approach.
