Your new role
As a significant player in the field of renewable energy, our need for infrastructure and security at our parks is constantly evolving and the need to secure a safe and high-performing network setup is more crucial than ever. As our new Senior Network Engineer, you will be joining our IT department which together with the rest of the company is on a growth and maturity journey. You will be working in close cooperation with the rest of the IT Operations team.
The IT Operations team currently consists of 10 people who are responsible for the overall architecture of the network, servers, storage, and the M365 suite supported by an IT Support team of 6 people. We work primarily in Azure and M365, leveraging the full potential of the Microsoft Cloud suite including Security. You will participate in the overall network security design, implementation, and maintenance in and around our offices and parks.
On a typical day you will
- Design and implement new network infrastructure designed for high availability, security, and ease of maintenance
- Take part in designing and implementing our network security strategy, incl. establishing next-generation firewall features and capabilities
- Configure and maintain our network
- Establish and build network in new parks as well as new offices around the globe
- Participate in projects with different business units when they plan new sites.
- Support the development of cloud platform automation

- have 5 years of relevant work experience
- have knowledge of and experience with cloud solutions in Azure.
- are proficient in operating and deploying network infrastructure in Azure cloud
- have experience working with a hybrid cloud environment
- preferably hold a Cisco CCNP/CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge and are familiar with the Azure networking suite – and perhaps have experience with Fortinet technologies
- can provide up-to-date knowledge in network design, planning, implementation, and troubleshooting, with experience in managing SD-WAN, and next generation firewall technologies
- possess general knowledge about cloud computing, incl. designing infrastructure architecture solutions in public and hybrid clouds, as well as knowledge about infrastructure security architecture.
- hold a degree in computer science, as data technician or similar
- are proficient in spoken and written English, and perhaps Danish
