Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Your role
As our Senior Electrical Design Engineer you’ll assume a key role in the development of the electrical design and specifications for HV/MV electrical infrastructure within the Electrical System Design team in the EPC Engineering Department, and you will be responsible for;

• Develop electrical system design, technical specifications, SLD, drawings and documentation packages for HV/MV infrastructure and equipment.
• Support procurement process for main components, including component review and techno-economic analysis of different technical solutions, equipment and/or designs.
• Lead development of new design concepts and methodologies for our team.
• Develop and support the maintenance of EWE standards, Engineering guidelines, tools and databases within the scope of High voltage engineering & Design.
• Technical interface toward sub-contractors, suppliers, Grid Operators and other relevant authorities or external stakeholders.
• Take the technical lead and mentoring role for the less experienced design engineers within the team with possibilities to develop the role into leadership role for the electrical design engineering team.
• Contribute to a positive and competent atmosphere through knowledge sharing and collaboration within the organisation.
• Close cooperation with colleagues across the organization and sub-contractors.

As our Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll collaborate with various key stakeholders, including project managers, development offices, It, Global Technical Asset Management, Grid Operators, and other external stakeholders.

Your profile
You have relevant electrical engineering educational background, preferably B.SC/M.Sc. E.E, with minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience working with electrical infrastructures of grid network and/or power plants, preferably with Developers, Grid Operators, OEMs and/our consultants in the field of renewable energy industry. It is an advantage if you have experience with cross-border collaboration or have been working in an international environment.

You also possess professional competencies such as:

• Strong Experience with HV/MV Electrical infrastructure design and/or design review.
• Experienced with protection, component evaluation and testing.
• Knowledge of DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD simulation tools is an advantage, but not a must.
• Ability to navigate in a fast-growing international organization with cross border collaboration and activities.
• Strong writing and verbal communications skills in English are mandatory.

You are able to meet deadlines and ensure that the design and technical reviews of our parks is handled fast and flawless while ensuring that all documentation, test and agreements are completed in collaboration with the rest of the team. • As we are working closely with international stakeholders, both internal and external, strong English language skills in both writing and verbal is a requirement.

We are a growing team in a dynamic environment with short decision-making process, so you will have an opportunity to highly influence and develop the team procedures and your own responsibilities with possible to development into leadership role for an interested candidate,, but this is not a requirement. Some travelling activity can be expected in this role to our other markets, but not on a regular basis.
