The Position

As a Senior Transfer Scientist in Global Transfer projects, you will be responsible for establishing the manufacturing process for strategic products at both internal sites and Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) sites. You will closely collaborate with specialists and project managers both within and outside the company.

Your primary tasks will include:

• Process Responsibility: Serve as the primary process responsible for the Global Transfer department, overseeing all process-related aspects during project development.
• Studies & Validation: Define process development studies, characterization activities, and validation strategies for product transfer, while identifying and mitigating associated risks.
• Documentation: Prepare, review, and approve relevant project-related documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Regulatory Support: Provide support during regulatory submissions, deviations, change controls, and CAPAs, including assessing process impacts.
• GMP Standards: Uphold Novo Nordisk's GMP standards and procedures throughout the development of manufacturing processes.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to leverage your scientific skills in a global setting. Knowledge of aseptic production and the validation approach to technology transfer are essential. You will be based in Bagsværd, Denmark, and depending on the projects, there will be 1-4 weeks of travel per year.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who possesses strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to navigate complex challenges during project execution. The ideal candidate should effectively balance the drive for continuous improvement with a commitment to ensuring compliance with GMP standards. Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential risks are pivotal skills for success in this role.

We imagine that a successful candidate has:

• At least 5 years with experience in the pharmaceutical industry e.g., tech transfer or CMO handling
• At least 3 years experience with aseptic production
• Academic degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field
• Proficiency in English
• Preferably, experience with technology transfer, working with CMOs, and product management, particularly lifecycle management of liquid drug products

About the Department

Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology (AMSAT), Manufacturing Science & Transfers (MS&T), is a dynamic VP area consisting of approximately 130 employees. The area provides site support and drives improvement and expansion projects of diverse complexity across our global production network. An elevated level of product knowledge and process understanding is anchored in the area.

As Senior Transfer Scientist, you will be part of a newly established "Global Transfer" department within the team Internal Transfers. The success of the department impacts the speed, success rate, and overall ability for Novo Nordisk to integrate and launch products within our production network in Aseptic Manufacturing, hence a significant impact on the overall Novo Nordisk bottom line.
