As part of a team, collaboratively develop innovative New Medical Devices through iterative research, ideation, prototyping and testing.
Key Responsibilities
What will this role involve?
- Assist in designing, undertaking and analysing information from controlled laboratory-based investigations, experiments and trials.
- Consider GLP and GDP regulations for all activities.
- In consultation develops prototypes in line with Customer Insights / requirements presenting ideas & concepts to internal & external clients
- Develops preparation methods and new analytical methods for manufacturing and characterisation of new product developments (NPDs).
- Applies statistical methods for evaluation, design of experiments (DoE)
- Transfer validated laboratory methods into SOPs.
- Design scientific reports about new findings.
- Design presentations understandable for general management, for colleagues from other departments, for partners and suppliers, including graphic illustrations, schematic drawings, and videos.
- Support the construction of new analytical and preparative equipment's.
- Correlate your findings with data from literature. Perform actively literature research.
- Support IP by performing the local patent and trademark administration.
- Characterisation of market samples. Comparison of market samples with NPDs regarding all relevant parameters. Prepare equivalence reports.
- Work with colleagues from other departments to develop business cases, regulatory submissions and marketing literature as required
- Actively contribute to departmental meetings and forums and contribute to the systematic improvement of the department in a positive, pragmatic, and enthusiastic manner.

- Educated to degree level in a scientific discipline
- Previous relevant experience in medical devices development
- Able to work collaboratively and effectively in multidisciplinary teams
