We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist (Incentives) to drive the development and optimization of incentive models and algorithms. In this role, you will focus on designing data-driven, scalable solutions to motivate drivers and riders, ensuring a balanced and efficient marketplace. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to refine incentive strategies, conduct advanced research, and implement machine learning (ML) models and optimization techniques that maximize efficiency, engagement, and business impact.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize incentive models using machine learning, statistical modeling, and discrete optimization techniques;
Build and deploy ML-based solutions for personalized incentives, ensuring adaptability to dynamic market conditions;
Develop forecasting models for user behavior and incentive responsiveness, improving retention and supply-demand balance;
Design and conduct A/B tests to validate incentive effectiveness and algorithm improvements;
Optimize and maintain scalable ML pipelines and ETL processes for incentive models in a high-load production environment;
Develop automated monitoring frameworks and dashboards to track incentive model performance and key marketplace metrics.
Qualifications
3 years of experience in data science, ML, or algorithmic research, preferably in incentives, marketplace optimization, or dynamic decision systems;
Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and optimization theory, with expertise in behavioral economics, driver and passenger elasticity modeling, incentive response dynamics, and causal inference;
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing tools, with experience working in high-load service environments and scalable ML pipelines in production;
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance research and implementation in a fast-paced environment.
