We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Antifraud team, which is focused on tackling various forms of fraud. These include monetary fraud, such as cashless payment fraud or the misuse of referral bonuses, as well as non-monetary fraud, like bot activities and autoclickers.
In this role, you will be a key player in developing innovative data-driven solutions. Our team operates with a strong product- and data-driven approach, heavily reliant on empirical heuristic rules. However, we are in the process of transitioning to more advanced techniques, incorporating machine learning algorithms to significantly improve our fraud detection and prevention capabilities.
We don’t require extensive ML engineering skills, as we have a dedicated team of engineers to handle the deployment of models to production. However, we do expect you to have strong data analysis and data science skills.
Responsibilities
Research, improve and evaluate algorithms (ML and heuristic) for fraud prevention.
Generate and test hypotheses to search for growth points of current algorithms, explain the results of improvements to business stakeholders.
Conduct tests and look for new types of tests (classical A/B or switchback is poorly applicable to fraud prevention).
Interact with all Data Department teams to optimize data flows, control the quality and integrity of product data, and create data marts for the product.
Qualifications
4 years of experience in data analysis and data science.
Strong mathematical background.
Analytical mindset: structured and critical thinking, the ability to find a balance between the resources spent and the effect on the business.
Proficiency in SQL: ability to work with large amounts of data, write and optimize complex queries.
Proficiency in Python and data analysis libraries.
Professional working proficiency in Russian and English.
