Hybrid working - 3 days a week in office

We built a brand new manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Miskolc in 2023, which includes assembly and office accommodation. Our Miskolc facility is a key regional facility for the driveline technologies that GKN Automotive supply to our global customer base. What will you do in this role?

• Build - up supplier strategy in locally managed commodities
• Maintain and lead material savings projects and support technical changes
• Prepare and lead negotiations, ensuring contracts with locally managed suppliers
• Proactively contribute to the plant’s savings targets.
• Proactively search for cost reduction opportunities.
• Organise tenders to select the best cost suppliers.
• Analyise spend to find saving opportunities.
• Strive to deliver all KPI-s.
• Monitor supplier’s performance (capacity – cost – delivery – quality) and take part in suppliers development programs -
• Support the plant in case of escalation process
• Drive ongoing supplier panel optimization and continuous improvement at plant level
• Act with integrity and full respect of business ethics.
• Act in full compliance with company regulations as well as local law.

What are we looking for?

• Master/Bachelor’s Degree in economics / business or engineering
• Proficient in English is a must, 2nd language is always desirable
• 3-5 years negotiation experience direct or indirect
• Effectively using MS Office tools to improve daily work
• Ready to take challenges in the automotive industry
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to work both in teams and alone, within an international environment
• Results orientation, analytical thinking, excellent problem solving skills
