General Operative

Our client is seeking General Operatives to assist Line Marking Techicians. Up to date Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.

This is a hands-on role that involves operating road marking machinery and ensuring the accurate application of road markings to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Operating road line marking equipment to apply road markings, signs, and other traffic-related indicators.
• Ensuring all road markings are completed accurately and safely, following industry standards and local regulations.
• Supporting the team in loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Assisting in setting up and closing down worksites safely, including traffic management.
• Maintaining cleanliness and care of equipment and vehicles.
• Reporting any issues or defects to supervisors.
• Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
• Occasional night shifts, weekends, and out-of-hours work may be required.

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience with road line marking is beneficial but not essential – full training provided.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling and operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights.
