About the Role:
This role involves working closely with clients to identify opportunities for value creation, developing strategic plans, and implementing solutions that drive business growth and efficiency. You will work with leading organisations to optimise their working capital, reduce costs, and drive sustainable value through targeted, data-driven strategies.
You will have the opportunity to engage with senior clients, advise on complex issues, and deliver impactful solutions that drive both immediate and long-term performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Reduction Strategies:
    • Lead cost reduction initiatives aimed at identifying, implementing, and sustaining cost reductions across various business functions.
    • Collaborate with functional leaders to design cost optimisation strategies and streamline processes.
    • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to recommend best-in-class practices and guide cost-saving measures.
    • Support clients in driving operational efficiencies through the adoption of lean methodologies and other process improvements.
  • Working Capital Optimisation:
    • Assess and analyse clients’ working capital to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Design and implement strategies to optimise cash flow, reduce days sales outstanding (DSO), days payable outstanding (DPO) and improve inventory turnover (DIO).
    • Work closely with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to develop effective working capital strategies.
    • Use data and analytics to forecast trends, identify bottlenecks, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Building:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights and recommendations tailored to their unique business needs.
    • Work directly with senior leadership to understand business challenges and co-create value-driven solutions.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring the successful delivery of engagements and fostering repeat business opportunities.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
    • Utilise advanced analytics, benchmarking tools, and financial modelling techniques to identify actionable insights.
    • Leverage technology and digital solutions to optimise operational performance and improve decision-making.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, IT) to implement digital tools for cost and working capital management.
  • Project Management and Delivery:
    • Lead the execution of projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and budget.
    • Manage project teams, providing direction, guidance, and mentoring to junior consultants.
    • Measure the impact of initiatives, tracking improvements in working capital, cost savings, and overall financial performance.
About you:
  • Proven experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field, with a focus on value creation, business transformation, or performance improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed financial and operational analyses.
  • Proven project management skills, with experience leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality client service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs.
