Overview:

We are seeking a Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Dublin or Cork. This position is focused on European data centre and mission-critical projects, requiring strong technical expertise and client-facing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage medium-sized projects, ensuring designs meet industry and regulatory standards
• Take on a client-facing role in electrical design, coordination, and engineering project services
• Develop and specify control systems, instruments, and building operational systems
• Conduct surveys, testing, and reporting on existing electrical installations
• Ensure compliance with functional specifications and client requirements
• Provide direct consultation to clients and contribute to key project decisions
• Represent the company at technical meetings with clients, teams, and contractors
• Perform engineering calculations in line with legal and industry standards
• Oversee and validate work completed by Trainees, Graduates, and Engineers

Role Requirements:

• BEng, MSc, or equivalent industry experience
• MCIBSE/MIEE membership or HNC/HND with relevant experience
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status
• Proven experience in electrical specification design and drawings for a range of buildings
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and IT-based calculation tools
• Familiarity with British Standards (BS)
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Experience in consulting or construction is preferred
• Understanding of international working practices within a global consultancy
• Commitment to ethical and professional standards in the industry
