Title: Estimator – Capital Projects
Rate: €65 -€75 per hour (DOE)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to lead and deliver high-quality, transparent, and timely cost estimates for large-scale capital projects within an EPCM environment. You will drive standardisation across estimating processes, tools, and reporting structures while collaborating with internal and client-side stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detailed estimate plans using standardised procedures.
- Prepare project cost estimates, risk analyses, and contingency plans.
- Lead Value Engineering and Risk Workshops.
- Present estimates to project teams, senior management, and clients.
- Maintain a central repository of benchmark data and lessons learned.
- Promote Capital Cost Trending, Value-Plus, and Sustainability-Plus initiatives.
- Improve estimating tools and templates using software like Cost-X, Navisworks, and Excel.
Essential Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering.
- Extensive experience in cost estimating, quantity surveying, or cost engineering, including on-site construction exposure.
- Strong understanding of design, procurement, and construction workflows and risks.
- Experience in EPCM project delivery.
- Chartered status with SCSI, Engineers Ireland, or equivalent (preferred).
Technical Proficiency:
- Estimating & scheduling software: Cost-X, Navisworks, Buildsoft, Excel, Monte Carlo-based risk tools.
- Strong data management skills in benchmarking, rates harvesting, and automation.
- Working knowledge of contract management, claims, and commercial systems.
Soft Skills:
- Confident communicator across all levels of project and client organisations.
- Strong leadership, presentation, planning, and facilitation abilities.
- Committed to continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork.
